Good morning all. My wife and I just got in from our morning run (morning walk in her case) and I have to admit - it certainly can get warm around here! I ran 3.5 miles again today and despite the heat and humidity, I ran fairly good times. My mile splits were:
9:37 (a 2:05.58 half marathon)
9:25 (a 2:03.21 half marathon)
9:42 (a 2:07.04 half marathon)
4:57 (half mile = a 2:09.41 half marathon)
Those half marathon times are in HOURS:MINUTES:SECONDS.
Obviously not the negative splits I ran on Tuesday, but that's ok - a strong workout, and all my times/splits were below a 10:00 mile pace. Tomorrow after church I think we're going to go for another bike ride - so I'm definitely looking forward to that. On Monday, we're going to Smithville lake for some water skiing. And next week my workouts look to be 4 miles each day. Should be a lot of fun!
Alright, so we went to see X-Men 3 last night...and I was fairly impressed. It didn't have the feel of the first two X-Men, but it certainly was a good ending to the trilogy. Also, they set up for a couple spin-offs: Wolverine (I believe Hugh Jackman has already announced his intention of doing these) and Magneto (I am not sure, though, how that would do in the box office). All in all, though, the movie was decent, though there were a couple characters killed that I felt shouldn't have been...but when you're filming for another movie, I guess you can't do much in both. Oh well.
Well, I think it's time to go hit the shower and then help my wife do some housework today. I wish you all the best and a great Memorial Day. Happy Reading and Happy Running!
